Understanding "Change"!

Updated: Jan 3, 2022

Hi Everyone,

I, Michael Lettman, would like to share how I deal with changes due to my social problems, personality, & behavior.

It's a little hard to explain but it can be a little difficult to accept changes even for when something unexpected happens, it tends to frustrate or maybe even anger me sometimes. During my final school years, if a schedule change happens or I hear about the upcoming Graduation during the years, I go into bad mood mode & get a little carried away so with some help I was able to accept changes a bit. During a schedule change, I get informed about it so I might be OK with it or I get frustrated for a while & we talk about it so I feel better. It was because I miss my past that I didn't want to hear about Graduation in the first 2 years, I get upset or hurt about it then by the time my final school year arrived, I had to accept it since I understand that it's an important event, with some talking & support from my teachers (including Ms. Heather Lifland), I was ready for it & calmly accept it with understanding. Even though I learned much from Ms. Heather Lifland, I still get kind of frustrated from when a change happens all of a sudden. Sometimes when it's a bad change, I get a little upset on the inside & need to figure out how to cheer myself up from trying to get used to a change.

From my Perspective

So to others out there, please understand my suggestions (within my 2nd video). Try to find ways with helping those with autism to understand changes so that they won't have any problem with them. I now understand that anything could happen so things can change whether good or bad, that's why we all need to find ways to understand them so that we won't be angry or upset about any changes that can happen.

This was the 2nd video of my project to explain "Change" from my own perspective & it happens to be very long so please take your time with it, Please Enjoy!

Interviewing Keyabe: Someone named Keyabe Thomas was very kind to let me interview her for how she had experienced "Change" in her life, Please Enjoy!
