UM02's Documentation ("Plot")

The next day, Professor Kukui’s game counterpart arrived to pick up Michael for the festival but first he needed to teach Michael about an important basic of being a Pokemon Trainer so he asked Michael to follow him onto Route 1, which he understood then parted from his mom as he’ll see her at the festival. On Route 1, Professor Kukui’s game counterpart teaches Michael how to catch a Pokemon by letting Michael observe him catching a Grubbin. Michael was impressed to see that as he can look forward to catching new Pokemon Friends to add onto his team. Professor Kukui’s game counterpart then gave Michael some Poke Balls and Potions to get him started as he suggested that Michael can try having a little adventure on the way to Iki Town which Michael agrees with as Professor Kukui’s game counterpart departed to Iki Town. As Michael started his way on the path to Iki Town, he came across a trainer who explained what happens when Pokemon Trainers’ eyes meet with each other, a Pokemon Battle begins. Michael understood and managed to defeat that trainer’s Buneary with his partner Litten which allowed it to receive enough Exp. Points to level up. Not long after Michael and Litten had won another Pokemon Battle against a young Caterpie trainer. After searching through the tall grass, Michael decided to catch a Pikipek which he managed to do thanks to his partner Litten as Michael was happy to have gotten another Pokemon Friend. Along the way, Michael came across a girl and her Rockruff (named Rocky) and Michael didn’t mind playing with Rocky for a while, which made it very happy and a little affectionate towards Michael as well. Michael got to learn a little more about Exp. Points from a sign involving “Trainer Tips”. Michael then chose his newly-caught Pikipek in a battle against a young Alolan Rattata trainer which they managed to win together. Before reaching Iki Town, Michael saw 2 unknown strangers that were very mysterious. Arriving in Iki Town for the festival, Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart came across Michael and talked with him about the festival and some of the importance of Alola. Michael then met up with Hau’s game counterpart and Rowlet, not after Professor Kukui’s and Lillie’s game counterparts also arrived. Professor Kukui’s game counterpart explained how Hau’s game counterpart and Michael shall be taking part in a battle at the festival as a pleasing to Tapu Koko which Michael finds fascinating to hear about. Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart informs Michael that his Pokemon have fought hard for him so he must do his part in return as a Pokemon Trainer. At the end of the festival’s battle, Michael emerged victorious along with his partner Litten receiving enough Exp. Points to level up twice and even learn a new move as well. Hau’s game counterpart and Michael thanked each other for a great battle and everyone at the festival enjoyed it including Tapu Koko. Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart gave Michael his own Z-Power Ring that was made from the Sparkling Stone received from Tapu Koko. Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart explains to Michael the details of his Z-Power Ring, drawing out a Pokemon’s Z-Power, and how Michael needs to start gathering Z-Crystals to use his Z-Power Ring, which lead to Professor Kukui’s game counterpart suggesting to Michael to take on the island challenge, which Michael was a little surprised about.

After Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart explained the details to Michael then gave him and Hau’s game counterpart their island challenge amulets that they’ll need, Michael thinks it sounded like a great adventure that he should try out with his Pokemon Friends. As the festival ends, Michael departs back home with Professor Kukui’s and Lillie’s game counterparts but unbeknownst to him, the 2 unknown strangers have appeared and were doing a little investigating at the festival, which lead to them discussing there’s more of Alola that they must investigate. After Michael arrived back home, he and his mom talked about the great battle that occurred at the festival which they both enjoyed. Michael’s mom recommends her son to try out the island challenge since it is something that he can only do in the Alola Region, which really has Michael thinking that he’ll have an upcoming adventure to look forward to within the region that he now lives in.

Answer: Litten

Lesson Notes: Michael Lettman was too late to press a certain button (for Pokemon Refresh) so Alolan "Michael" could care for his Pokemon after battling, which made him felt a little ashamed. Michael Lettman is aware that a trainer does need to care for hard-working Pokemon Friends after they’ve done so much in battling. So Michael Lettman wishes to apologize to Tapu Koko, everyone at the festival, and the Pokemon Friends of Alolan "Michael" for failing to allow Alolan "Michael" to do his Pokemon Refresh activity before the festival’s battle. I’m sure they all would’ve enjoyed that battle a little more if Alolan "Michael" was even more in sync after caring for his Pokemon from battling so hard with him in earlier battles, lesson learned!
