UM04's Documentation ("Plot")
Michael experienced the Pokemon Center Cafe for the first time by enjoying some Moomoo Milk then receiving some Poke Beans for his Pokemon Friends.
Afterwards Michael continued back on the path to explore Hau’oli City and after meeting up with Hau’s game counterpart, they visited the Tourist Bureau to receive a special gift for Michael's Rotom Dex which was a Poke Finder, a special camera that allows a Rotom Dex to take photos of Pokemon.
After meeting up with Lillie’s game counterpart and she was informed about Rotom’s Poke Finder, Michael has agreed to meet back with Hau’s game counterpart a little later while Lillie’s game counterpart goes to do a little shopping at an apparel shop.
A nice gentleman then gave Michael a little tip about a nearby photo spot where Michael and Rotom Dex began to use the Poke Finder. After trying out the Poke Finder, Michael took 2 nice photos of a Pikachu and a Growlithe which had gotten a few nice comments from others after his Rotom Dex uploaded them and it resulted in Michael’s photos earning a total of 2,001 thumbs ups which made it over 1,500 thumbs up for the Poke Finder to be updated into its Ver. 2.
After saving up the photos, Michael's Rotom Dex was happy for its companion enjoying the Poke Finder and they’ll look forward to using it again on their journey. Michael met up back with Lillie’s game counterpart outside of the apparel shop where they had a chat about their clothes and it felt like they had a few things in common like their moms picking out clothes for them to wear, they’re both not sure what style suits either of them, and both having Lens Cases + they both like the way that they’re dressed. As Michael continued with his exploring, he found another Pokemon Center where he ran into Illma’s game counterpart who was putting up a sticker, which he then informed Michael about the details of collecting Totem Stickers during his island challenge.
From what Illma’s game counterpart explained, Michael learned about a group of bad guys known as Team Skull that get in the way of trainers doing their island challenges which Michael and his Rotom Dex did not like hearing about. Afterwards Michael got started in collecting Totem Stickers starting with the one Illma’s game counterpart had just put up, then Michael managed to find another one in Hau’oli City Hall. After meeting up with Hau’s game counterpart outside of a Malasada Shop, Michael meet Team Skull for the first time who have shown up and claimed to both Hau’s game counterpart and Michael that they would hand over their island challenge amulets since they hate the island challenge and trainers that are doing it which made Michael very frustrated. Hau’s game counterpart then asked Michael that they can teach those jerks to not get in the ways of trainers that are doing the island challenge, which Michael definitely agrees with as he sees Team Skull as enemies that must be defeated. At the end, Michael defeated one Team Skull grunt’s Zubat (with Litten) while Hau’s game counterpart defeated the other grunt which left both Team Skull grunts to retreat. After a brief talk, Hau’s game counterpart parted from Michael to continue collecting Totem Stickers, Illma’s game counterpart then appeared to thank Michael and his Pokemon for battling well against Team Skull and he kindly helped recover Litten after its battling.
Illma’s game counterpart then explained his curiosity about Michael especially when he managed to defeat his teacher which Michael must admit that she was a very tough opponent for him and his Litten. Illma’s game counterpart allowed Michael to face him in battle so he may see if Michael’s ready to take on his trial, which Michael accepts. During the battle, even after Illma’s game counterpart cleverly used a full heal to help his Yungoos recover from a burn inflicted from Litten’s Ember, Litten managed to defeat Yungoos which resulted in both Litten and Pikipek earning enough Exp. Points to level up and learn a new move each. Litten then began battling Smeargle with its newly-learned Fire Fang which made Illma’s game counterpart cleverly use a potion to help Smeargle recover some of its strength. Even though Litten managed to inflict another burn to Smeargle with its Ember, Smeargle still managed to defeat Litten and it was up to Pikipek who then managed to defeat Smeargle with its newly-learned Rock Smash (which also resulted in Pikipek gain enough Exp. Points to level up again), thus earning Michael the win.
After the battle, Illma’s game counterpart shall wait for Michael at Verdant Cavern while Michael is looking forward to taking on the trial of Illma. After collecting a few more Totem Stickers and visiting the Malasada Shop to purchase a sweet malasada for his Pikipek to enjoy, Michael finished up his exploring and arrived at the Pokemon Center to rest up a while before preparing to leave for Route 2.
Michael meets the Move Deleter, which made him decide to try something out by allowing the Move Deleter to make Pikipek forget one of its moves then Michael made use of what he learned at the Trainers School by using TM01 to allow Pikipek learn Work Up, which shall be very helpful in their battles for a while.
Afterwards Michael took a break to enjoy some lemonade at the Pokemon Center Cafe then had a chat with his Rotom Dex and Pokemon Friends, they’ll be looking forward to taking part in the trial at Verdant Cavern.
