UM12's Documentation ("Plot")
Before leaving Paniola Town, Michael went back to the same woman from when he saved an Alolan Vulpix from Team Skull. She gave Michael the same Bottle Cap that the Alolan Vulpix had and explained that it probably left the Bottle Cap for Michael to thank him for saving it. She and Michael then talked about the Alolan Vulpix since they haven’t seen it after it was saved and wondered if they might see it again. Michael also received another bottle of Moomoo Milk from the same gentleman who already gave Michael some Moomoo Milk. After setting off from Paniola Town, Michael and Cha (Michael’s Hawlucha) defeated a Carbink trainer, which led to Cha earning enough Exp. Points to level up.
Michael arrived at the Paniola Ranch where a gentleman escorted him to the game counterpart of Mallow. After a brief chat, Mallow’s game counterpart reveals that she’s aware of Michael’s Ride Pager and asked if she could borrow it to do a nice favor for Michael which he was okay with. Mallow’s game counterpart registered a Stoutland to the Ride Pager then she explained the details of using the Stoutland Search, which Michael understood and thanked Mallow’s game counterpart for another helpful Ride Pokemon to call on. Before she left, Mallow’s game counterpart informed Michael about the game counterpart of Lana at Brooklet Hill who’s a friend of hers and asked if he could say hi to her when they meet, which Michael was okay with. After trying out the Stoutland Search to find a few hidden items then playing with a Miltank, Michael came across a raging Tauros, which a few people tried to calm it down since it was new to the ranch. After Miltank couldn’t calm down Tauros despite being the mistress of the ranch, Michael was asked to battle Tauros to allow it to burn off some energy, which Michael accepts. It was a tough battle but Michael and his partner Torracat emerged victorious which led to Torracat earning enough Exp. Points to level up. After Miltank helped out once more, Tauros was able to calm down and Michael was thanked for his help before departing. After collecting a Totem Sticker and defeating a Mudbray trainer with Trumbeak, Michael arrived to the Pokemon Nursery and a Miltank (belonging to a breeder lady that works at the nursery) was very kind to help recover Michael’s team then its trainer herself had a brief chat with Michael before he went inside the nursery for a visit. Another Pokemon Nursery breeder lady gave Michael the Technical Machine for Hidden Power and explained the details of it, which resulted in Michael deciding to try it out with Rockruff for a little while until it learns another new move. The Pokemon Nursery breeder lady at the counter had a chat with Michael about Pokemon Daycares since Michael is sure there are some in Kanto where he used to live. She then explained to Michael the details about the Pokemon Nurseries in Alola, which Michael admits that it’s a little different than the Pokemon Daycares.
After they had a chat about Pokemon Eggs, Michael’s not sure about leaving 2 Pokemon at the Nursery just to see if a Pokemon Egg can be found but he has always liked how Pokemon Eggs are cared for while also having patience for newly-hatched Pokemon becoming born into the World of Pokemon. The Pokemon Nursery breeder lady at the counter then asked Michael if would like one of the Pokemon Eggs that were recently found at the nursery, which definitely filled him with excitement of caring for a Pokemon Egg during his journey as he kindly answered yes and the young trial-goer received the egg. She thanked Michael for taking it off their hands and Michael thanked her for a Pokemon Egg that he’ll be caring for when it’s ready to hatch. Michael has to agree with the Pokemon Nursery breeder lady that his new Pokemon friend must be happy to be surrounded by his team even before it’s born.
Michael's Rotom Dex stepped in and offered to help make the egg hatch a little faster by activating his Rotom Power since it’s too curious to wait but even though Michael understand his Rotom Dex wanted to help, he’s also not sure about it since he doesn’t mind the patience of letting the egg hatch when it’s ready. After departing from the Pokemon Nursery with his new Pokemon Egg, Michael read a sign saying one path lead to Brooklet Hill and the other leads to Royal Avenue where Michael saw that it was blocked by 2 Pokemon called Sudowoodo and a child explains that those Pokemon were traumatized when the game counterpart of Lana defeated them with her Water-Type Z-Move which made Michael learn that she can use Z-Moves. Michael and his Rockruff managed to win battling against a trainer with a Lillipup and a Magnemite, which also resulted in Rockruff earning enough Exp. Points to level up. Michael and his Trumbeak won a battle against a Sableye trainer. Michael learns from someone that Lana’s game counterpart is a captain just like Mallow’s game counterpart and that her trial takes place at Brooklet Hill, which resulted in Michael learning about the first trial on Akala Island that he’ll be taking on. After arriving at Route 5, a trial guide asked Michael if he takes on all the trainers at Route 5 then he might have something in mind for Michael. Michael then took on a double battle with Cha and Trumbeak against 2 young trainers with a Petilil and a Cottonee, Cha and Trumbeak emerged victorious, which also resulted in Trumbeak earning enough Exp. Points to level up. Michael noticed Hau’s game counterpart losing a battle against a mysterious Pokemon Trainer who Hau’s game counterpart claims to be a little scary. The mysterious trainer introduced himself as Gladion (his game counterpart) who’s explained that he and his partner Type: Null are training to get stronger claiming that they have to get stronger. which Michael finds a little curious.
The game counterpart of Gladion also explains that most of his days have been working for Team Skull as their muscle, which left Michael in shock a little as he remembered how he had to deal with Team Skull several times during his journey.
When the game counterpart of Gladion then asks Michael to battle him without taking no for an answer, Michael immediately accepts it since he chose to see how strong Gladion’s game counterpart is. During the battle, Michael was a little surprised to see that his opponent had a Zorua (disguising itself as a Zubat with its Illusion ability), which managed to defeat Rockruff but Trumbeak was able to defeat both Zorua and his opponent’s actual Zubat before it was defeated by a Pokemon known as Type: Null, which Michael was a little more surprised to see but his partner Torracat emerged victorious against that Type: Null, earning Michael the win, which he was glad but his opponent was annoyed. From what the game counterpart of Gladion had said, Michael began to ponder about that trainer’s quest to face strong opponents while adding how himself and Hau’s game counterpart became strong enough to defeat Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart.
Team Skull then arrived and was about to take on Michael themselves to cover for Gladion’s game counterpart with Michael preparing to face enemies again but Gladion’s game counterpart told them not to, he mentioned that they’re not even strong enough to battle Gladion’s game counterpart himself so they’ll end up getting their Pokemon beaten. Not only Team Skull didn’t like how they came all the way for nothing but they said they didn’t like how Gladion’s game counterpart interfered with them stealing the Totem Pokemon at Brooklet Hill, which caught Michael’s attention a little.
One Team Skull grunt then mentioned how their “boss” likes Gladion’s game counterpart but he’s just a hired muscle Team Skull keeps around from when they need him as Gladion’s game counterpart is not technically part of Team Skull and he never will be. After everything that Michael heard, he was actually kinda surprised and started to think that Gladion’s game counterpart is different from the usual ones of Team Skull that he has always focused on defeating during his journey. Michael also has decided to keep in mind in seeing Gladion’s game counterpart as just a hired muscle for Team Skull but not technically part of Team Skull.
After Team Skull then Gladion’s game counterpart had departed, Hau’s game counterpart thanked Michael and his team for giving it their all while adding that he’ll need to get stronger for the trial at Brooklet Hill, which Michael added that he’ll be taking on that trial as well and before he left, Hau’s game counterpart gave Michael another 3 Revives claiming that they’ll do well in the island challenge. After a brief chat with his Rotom Dex, Michael noticed that received another chance to try out the Roto Loto which earned him 2 Roto Catches. Afterwards Michael and his Rockruff managed to defeat a trainer’s Paras and Spinarak then Michael defeated a wild Crabrawler with Cha to collect a few berries. Michael then arrived at Route 5’s Pokemon Center where he also saw that it’s just outside the entrance to Brooklet Hill.
After his team recovered, Michael went back out to take on the rest of the trainers on Route 5 which led to Rockruff and Trumbeak earning enough Exp. Points to level up after winning a double battle against 2 trainers with a Rufflet and a Vullaby. Cha earned enough Exp. Points to level up after defeating a trainer’s Morelull and Ledyba. Michael then went back to the trial guide from earlier to inform him that he defeated all trainers on Route 5, which lead to the trial guide revealing himself as a trainer that can use Psychic-Type Z-Moves and that he had his own little trial for Michael to face, which he accepted. Even though Michael did managed to win the battle, he did struggled against a very tough opponent which lead to using the Flying-Type Z-Move: Supersonic Skystrike with Trumbeak to inflict enough damage to the opponent’s Slowpoke for it to be defeated by the next move + Torracat had a hard time against the opponent’s Mr. Mime’s Z-Reflect (a Psychic-Type defensive Z-Move), which led to reducing damage from Torracat’s attacks but Torracat still managed to emerge victorious. Michael then received the Technical Machine for Nature Power for clearing the trial guide’s own little trial. Michael then arrived back to Route 5’s Pokemon Center where he showed his team the Pokemon Egg that he received at the Pokemon Nursery, which they all are happily impressed with (except Rotom Dex whose Rotom Power to help the egg hatch faster has ended) and the egg is still not close to hatching but Michael was still okay with it as he likes to care for the egg while letting it take its time to hatch. Michael then informs his team how they must prepare themselves for facing the trial at Brooklet Hill.
