Michael’s “Poke Problem”: Which is the Totem Pokemon that Michael faces at Brooklet Hill? Choices: Araquanid, Alomomola, Wishiwashi, Basculin (Answer Revealed Below) (Exp. Share: On)

UM13's Documentation ("Plot")

Arriving at Brooklet Hill, Michael meets Lana (her game counterpart) who serves as the captain of Brooklet Hill and he kindly said hi to her from Mallow’s game counterpart which she thanked Michael for doing.

The game counterpart of Lana explained to Michael on how to do her trial + she also registered a Lapras to Michael’s Ride Pager since he’ll need it for the trial. After the game counterpart of Lana showed Michael the splashes of water that he must check out with Lapras, Michael understood and proceeded as the Trial of Lana had begun. Before Michael was gonna head into the water with Lapras, he and Cha (Michael’s Hawlucha) battled a Fletchling trainer then a Poliwag trainer and they managed to defeat both those opponents. Michael also came across a gentleman who said he’ll be waiting for both Michael to clear the trial and for rainy weather to fall down. As Michael activated his Ride Pager, he rode along the Lapras Paddle to arrive at one of the splashes where a Pokemon emerged in front of them. It was thanks to his Rotom Dex that Michael learned it was a Wishiwashi, which led to him remembering what he needed to do for Lana’s game counterpart so in order to herd it downstream, Michael battled Wishiwashi with Trumbeak who managed to defeat it as it was then herded downstream and headed deeper into Brooklet Hill + the sky became a little darker with rain clouds.

After hearing how well he’s doing from Lana’s game counterpart, Michael continued to the other splash of water where another kind of Pokemon emerged and it was according to his Rotom Dex that Michael learned it was a Dewpider. Although it’s not a Wishiwashi, Michael knows that he’s still in a trial so he battled the Dewpider with Trumbeak and managed to defeat it. Michael took a quick pause after finding a photo spot for his Poke Finder where he took a photo of a Surskit, which allowed Michael’s photos making it over 10,000 thumbs-up to be updated into its Ver. 3. Michael met up with Lana’s game counterpart at another pool of water where he saw 2 more splashes that he needed to check out. At 1 splash of water, a Wishiwashi emerged for Michael to battle and herd downstream. The Wishiwashi did call an ally (another Wishiwashi) to aid it in battle but Michael and his Trumbeak emerged victorious, which led to Trumbeak, Cha, and Rockruff earning enough Exp. Points to level up (+ Trumbeak learned a new move).

Not only that the Wishiwashi herded downstream, it began to rain, which led to Michael's Rotom Dex informing its companion that Water-Type moves are more stronger in rainy weather so Michael must need to keep that in mind during the trial. At the other splash of water, a Dewpider emerged for Michael to battle with Cha and they managed to defeat it and its ally (another Dewpider). Michael then battled a fisher with 3 Magikarps, which he defeated with his Rockruff, which also led to Torracat earning enough Exp. Points to level up and even learn a new move. Afterwards Michael arrived at the final pool of water where Lana’s game counterpart showed him that the Totem Pokemon has been drawn out as she then said to Michael to face the Totem Pokemon with all of his strength for seizing victory, which he understood.

Riding along the Lapras Paddle, Michael arrived at the splashing location of the Totem Pokemon where they saw the Wishiwashi gathering together and right next to them emerged the Totem Pokemon, an Araquanid. After a glimpse of the Totem Pokemon and learning from his Rotom Dex that it’s the evolved form of Dewpider, Michael feels that it’ll be more tougher to defeat than Totem Raticate back at Verdant Cavern + Michael also know that its Water-Type moves will be more stronger in the rainy weather. As Michael began to battle Totem Araqanuid with Trumbeak, they first used Rock Smash while hoping its secondary effect of lowering defense would kick in but not only it didn’t work, Totem Araquanid then strikes back with a powerful Bubble attack, which also landed a critical hit and left Michael a bit traumatized of what just happened as Totem Araquanid called an ally for help, a Dewpider. Michael wanted Trumbeak to continue doing the best that it can do so they went straight for their Flying-Type Z-Move: Supersonic Skystrike but Totem Araquanid managed to have survived it and even though Trumbeak held on for Michael after taking a powerful Bubble attack from the Totem Pokemon, it couldn’t survive another Bubble attack from the Totem Pokemon’s ally which led to Trumbeak’s defeat and left Michael a little shattered. Although Michael started to feel bad for his Trumbeak, he knew that the trial was still not over as he then sent out Cha who managed to defeat Totem Araquanid and its ally with its strong Aerial Ace. After Lana’s game counterpart called for Michael back to shore, they discussed how herding the Wishiwashi led to Totem Araquanid appearing, which was very surprising. After congratulating Michael for defeating the Totem Pokemon, Lana’s game counterpart gave Michael a Waterium Z as the trial was completed.

After showing the Water-Type Z-Move pose to Michael, Lana’s game counterpart also gave Michael one of her original handmade fishing rods then explained the details on how Michael can use it while also giving him 10 Dive Balls to catch Pokemon that he’ll fish up out of the water. Lana’s game counterpart then asked Michael if she’ll see him back to the Pokemon Center on Route 5 but he decided to try out fishing for a while and search for any remaining trainers that may want to battle him so he asked Lana’s game counterpart if she could wait for him before he’s ready to head back to the Pokemon Center, which she was okay with. As Michael tried out fishing from the Lapras Paddle, he decided to try out some training with his team, which led to battling a few Water-Type Pokemon that were fished up. Michael came across the same gentleman from earlier who was informed about Michael clearing his trial and since it was still raining, he asked Michael to battle him which he accepted. Michael was able to defeat his opponent’s 3 Water-Type Pokemon using only Cha. Afterwards Michael and his Trumbeak defeated 2 other trainers and their Water-Type Pokemon. Michael continued with fishing which was very calming and as a result, Michael’s team gained much Exp. Points which also led to Cha learning a new move. At the end of his fishing at Brooklet Hill, Michael met back with Lana’s game counterpart as he was ready to head back to the Pokemon Center on Route 5. Back onto Route 5, Lana’s game counterpart informed Michael of his next trial which is revealed to be Kiawe’s (his game counterpart) at Wela Volcano Park, which led to Michael now knowing about all 3 trials on Akala Island as he figured out that Mallow’s game counterpart’s trial shall be right after clearing the trial at Wela Volcano Park. Lana’s game counterpart and Michael then spoke about the Sudowoodo blocking a path on Paniola Ranch, which led to Michael understanding why she needed to teach them a little lesson by using her Water-Type Z-Move. Both of them can know what might happen when those 2 Sudowoodo sees Michael with a Waterium Z. After Lana’s game counterpart departed, a girl was explaining to Michael about the flowers in Route 5’s Pokemon Center, which led to a Comfey appearing and showing what it can do. What Comfey was doing with the flowers led to it using its powers to recover Michael’s team which he then gave thanks to Comfey for doing so.

Something was still on Michael’s mind while he and his team were relaxing at the Pokemon Center Cafe, which was still feeling bad for Trumbeak during their recent trial as he wished they could’ve been a little more prepared for it especially from knowing that Trumbeak’s own Supersonic Skystrike wasn’t strong enough to defeat Totem Araquanid itself.

All Michael can do is hope that he’ll be more than ready for whatever lies ahead of him during the island challenge along with his own Pokemon Friends by his side.

To Be Continued

Answer: Araquanid

Lesson Notes: After Michael Lettman pressed the “save” button right after the recent trial had been cleared, he ended up regretting doing that from thinking about what happened with Trumbeak, which unfortunately led to a guilt feeling planted into Alolan Michael + the Brooklet Hill trial could’ve been enjoyed a little more better if a little more training had been done.
