Michael’s “Poke Problem”: Michael took a photo with one of his Pokemon Friends after it evolved, which Pokemon Friend is it? Choices: Lycanroc, Torracat, Trumbeak, Eevee (Answer Revealed Below) (Exp. Share: Off)
UM16's Documentation ("Plot")
Having decided to take a pause in trying out the Battle Royal again, Michael sets off back onto Route 7 where he met an unknown gentleman who noticed that Michael passed the trial at Wela Volcano Park by looking at the Firium Z in his Z-Power Ring then he informed Michael about Poke Pelago, which he finds it very interesting especially from knowing by the time that he’ll have way over 6 Pokemon Friends, there’ll be somewhere all of his Pokemon Friends in his PC Boxes can go to have fun. The unknown gentleman informs Michael that he’ll be waiting for him and many of his Pokemon to come visit as Michael shall also look forward to it.
Michael arrived at a barricade where he showed a trial guide his Firium Z which then she congratulated him for clearing Kiawe’s game counterpart’s trial as she opened the barricade for Michael to pass then informed him about Lush Jungle, which is where Michael is heading for his next trial as he heads into the Dividing Peak Tunnel where he ran into Soliera and Phyco. Seeing his new Firium Z, Phyco adds that Michael has gotten more Z-Crystals than when they last met and asked Michael if he wishes to master Z-Moves to which he answered yes. From what Soliera and Phyco have been saying, Michael once again began to wonder about them as he pondered about their interest in the light that comes from when trial-goers use their Z-Moves, something about their “world”, and going to meet with a scientist as they left. Exiting the tunnel and arriving on Route 8, Michael notices an island challenge marker which gave some important tips about thinking about his partners’ strengths even from when they get stronger after evolving, which made him flashback from when his Rockruff evolved during their trial at Wela Volcano Park and how its efforts didn’t went to waste as they cleared that trial. Michael came across a small lab that belonged to a foundation that he once read about back in his old Kanto home. As he went inside, Michael notices an Alolan Vulpix which according to a foundation worker, it hardly trusts humans since it was bullied by Team Skull. That made Michael realize it’s the same Vulpix that he saved from Team Skull back in Paniola Town (during UM11), surprising that he actually got to see it again.
When the Alolan Vulpix noticed Michael, it went up to him and sniffed him a little which was astounding for the foundation worker to see Vulpix being gentle with Michael. The young trial-goer kindly greeted it then explained to the worker what occurred from when he first met Vulpix. The foundation worker asked Michael if he could stop by to visit Vulpix from time-to-time (since the Fox Pokemon can be calm when he’s around) to which Michael answered yes.
Happy with Michael accepting to help out, the foundation worker would like Vulpix to eat something since it must be hungry, then she thought of an idea of asking Michael if he could share a big malasada to Vulpix to which he’d be happy to. After Michael gives a big malasada for Vulpix to enjoy as it slowly eats its treat, he explains that he’ll stop by again when he has a little free time during his journey. Michael saw Soliera and Phyco up the path talking to someone before the two of them left then that someone noticed Michael and introduced himself as a scientist named Colress (his game counterpart). Michael remembers seeing him once in a guest room at Tide Song Hotel and from what he explained, Michael might agree with the game counterpart of Colress about a Pokemon’s potential being brought out through the bond they have with their trainers especially from when they use Z-Moves by the power of the trainers using Z-Power Rings. For their encounter, Colress’s game counterpart gave Michael the Technical Machine for Flame Charge as he is sure that Michael shall have a good battle against the Totem Pokemon in Lush Jungle although Michael then explained that he’s already heading to be near there. From what Colress’s game counterpart mentioned before he left, Michael can see that he’s taken an interest in Z-Power and taken a curious request by Soliera and Phyco.
After a little tricky photo-taking with his Poke Finder then collecting a Totem Sticker, Michael came across an Eevee trainer who asked to battle her and he accepted as his first battle with Eevee who’s been leveling up well through the Exp. Share (that’s currently switched off for a while). At the end, Michael and his Eevee were victorious. Michael then noticed a fishing spot and decided to do some fishing to train with his Eevee who managed to gain enough Exp. Points to level up. Michael came across a trainer who asked if the young trial-goer is interested in the move Sky Drop then she’ll allow him to battle her if Michael can defeat all trainers on Route 8. Michael understood and even realized that he found another strong trainer on a route to battle last. Michael became victorious against a trainer whose Phantump got defeated by Eevee and whose Trumbeak got defeated by Michael’s own Trumbeak. Michael and Cha (Michael’s Hawlucha) emerged victorious against a Stufful trainer. Michael and his newly-evolved Midnight Form Lycanroc emerged victorious against a trainer’s Amaura and Omanyte. Michael collected some berries after his Trumbeak defeated a wild Crabrawler. Michael then took a visit to the Fossil Restoration Center where he met the gentleman in charge of it and learned of his dream to make a dream park for Pokemon of the ancient past, which Michael finds fascinating. After collecting another Totem Sticker, Michael finds a Pokemon Center on Route 8 where he saw a lady and Hau’s game counterpart who spoke to Michael about Festival Plaza, which Michael admits that he does know about it but never tried out visiting. So with the help of his Rotom Dex + info received from both the lady and Hau’s game counterpart, Michael took a pause on his journey to instantly visit Festival Plaza where he met Sophocles (his game counterpart) who explained some info about Festival Plaza to Michael.
Accepting to help out with Festival Plaza, Michael had a small chat with a visitor and received 2 festival coins. The game counterpart of Sophocles explained to Michael about the facilities at Festival Plaza, which Michael shall check out later but he did have chats with 2 more visitors and received 4 more festival coins, which led to the Festival Plaza Rank going up according to Sophocles’s game counterpart. After a new facility was built at Festival Plaza, more info about Festival Plaza was given to Michael, which he finds a little complicated but decides to come back (during his journey) to do a little better with Festival Plaza. Before departing, Sophocles’s game counterpart informed Michael that he filled in the staff inside Festival Plaza Castle about Michael’s part in helping out with the plaza. Michael went into the castle and met the staff who’re looking forward to working with Michael when he’s available to which Michael understood. After being informed that preparations are still to be made at the plaza, Michael departed back onto his journey while thinking about needing to keep Festival Plaza in mind when he has time to return back to it. Returning back on Route 8, Michael fills in the lady and Hau’s game counterpart about his first time visiting the plaza to which they’re happy for him.
Proceeding with his journey, Michael met a young boy who explained that borrowed his big bro’s strong Pokemon without asking, which Michael finds a little disturbing for him to do something like that but then he asked Michael for a battle to which he didn’t mind accepting. Michael and his Lycanroc defeated the young boy’s borrowed Kangaskhan, which led to Lycanroc gaining enough Exp. Points to level up. Afterwards the young boy’s big bro arrived and was informed of what occurred as the young boy apologized to his big bro. As Michael watches their discussion, he’s happy to see the young boy learning something from his big bro as he wants to be as strong as his own brother. The young boy’s big bro apologized to Michael for what occurred then gave him a Lum Berry for his troubles. Michael arrived in a motel where he learned from a receptionist lady about someone staying there in his rented room for up to 2 years and that guest has recently been unable to pay much even from his work with Team Skull, which captured Michael’s attention. Standing outside of the motel, Michael had a feeling that the guest that he was informed about may have been the game counterpart of Gladion, which resulted in deciding to not check on him since he’s been pondering about what he’s been going through with Team Skull + Michael wouldn’t want to disturb him. After Michael and his Eevee defeated a Natu trainer and then a Hoothoot trainer, Michael found 2 paths with one leading to Lush Jungle and the other leading to a small water area to which he headed in order to train. While out on the water by the Lapras Paddle (via Ride Pager), Michael did some fishing to train with his Eevee then he defeated a karate family’s 2 Machops with Trumbeak and Lycanroc. Michael did another round of fishing to train with Eevee and afterwards, defeated a wild Wimpod with Trumbeak. After a little more training was done with Trumbeak by a little fishing, Michael went back to a certain trainer who had accepted to battle him after managed to defeat all trainers on Route 8 + Michael can see that his final opponent on Route 8 is a trainer that can use Z-Moves (as he figured). During the battle, Cha managed to defeat the opponent’s Fletchinder, which led to it gaining enough Exp. Points to level up but Cha then got defeated by the opponent’s Fearow’s Flying-Type Z-Move: Supersonic Skystrike. Seeing his opponent’s Flying-Type Z-Move, Michael sent out Trumbeak who after battling in the air against its opponent, managed to defeat Fearow with its own Supersonic Skystrike, which definitely made Michael very happy as Trumbeak also managed to gain enough Exp. Points to level up. Michael was happily amazed to see Trumbeak evolving into Toucannon and learning its signature move Beak Blast. Toucannon’s data from Michael's Rotom Dex was checked out and Michael cared for his fully-evolved flying-type Pokemon Friend in their Pokemon Refresh activity. After the battle, Michael was given the Technical Machine for Sky Drop from his opponent who was also amazed by the evolution of Michael’s Trumbeak into Toucannon. Michael’s Rotom Dex was so happy that he’d like to take a photo of Michael and his fully-evolved Toucannon, which Michael agreed was a good idea as a nice photo of a fully-evolved Pokemon and its trainer was taken and saved. Michael arrived to Route 8’s Pokemon Center to take a pause before getting ready to head for Lush Jungle as he had his team recovered, sold a few items at the PokeMart, and relaxed at the Pokemon Center Cafe. Michael can look forward to take on Mallow’s game counterpart’s trial with his team, which includes his fully-evolved Toucannon.
