Magneton
Poke Finder: A Magneton outside of the Geothermal Power Plant

Michael’s “Poke Problem”: Where did Michael and Hau’s game counterpart see the Ultra Recon Squad again? Choices: Route 11, Route 12, Route 13, Tapu Village (Answer Revealed Below) (Exp. Share: Off then turned back On)

UM25's Documentation ("Plot")

After setting off from Malie City, Michael plans to train his team before they arrive at Tapu Village starting on Route 11. Allowing Eevee to face some wild Pokemon resulted in it gaining enough Exp. Points to level up and a trial guide was kind enough to help recover Eevee’s health. After Rotom Dex saw a few trainers on Route 11, it activated its Rotom Power to allow Michael earn some extra prize money for a little while after winning battles, which Michael then gave his thanks to his Pokedex companion.

With Eevee and Toucannon, Michael defeated 2 trainers with a Whismicott and a Lilligant (which allowed Toucannon to gain enough Exp. Points to level up) then Michael and Eevee defeated a preschooler’s Dedenne. After the Rotom Power’s effect wore off, Michael was fascinated to have learn from “Trainer Tips” that some Z-Moves can increase Pokemon’s stats as long as its enveloped in Z-Power which has Michael remembering that Z-Moves can sometimes be dodged in battles but now knowing that Z-Power could increase Pokemon’s stats made be something Michael might need to keep in mind after a Z-Move is used. After Michael and his Incineroar managed to defeat a black belt’s Bewear (which is also his master), he gave Michael a Technical Machine for Payback and Michael was impressed to hear that his Bewear and Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart knew each other as old rivals. Afterwards Michael and his Toucannon defeated another black belt and his Hariyama then Michael’s team were recovered by the trial guide from earlier. Michael arrived at a barricade where another trial guide that was there, asked to see his Z-Crystals and seeing that Michael has the Electrium Z from the Trial of Sophocles allowed her to open the barricade gate then informed Michael that what he’ll face up ahead is a Ghost-Type trial which shocked Michael a little as he now has a feeling that his next trial might become a little scary. Arriving onto Route 12, Hapu’s game counterpart arrived to see Michael to inform that she like to provide him with a Mudsdale that he’ll need to travel about Ula’ula and it’s also a way for her to thank Michael for his help back on Akala Island as he was glad to help out back then.

After Mudsdale was registered to Michael’s Ride Pager, Hapu’s game counterpart explained that she meant to register that ride Pokemon for Michael earlier back in Malie City but she was occupied in speaking with Lillie’s game counterpart that it slipped her mind as she wasn’t hesitant on waiting for a time when Michael was having trouble. When Michael asked her about that, she informed him that the only way to get across rough rocky roads (like the ones on Route 12) is to ride atop of a Mudsdale which Michael then understood. Hapu’s game counterpart then posed a question of asking Michael if he knew about the Ultra Recon Squad which he answered he sometimes kept running into them. From what Hapu’s game counterpart then explained, Michael can understand that the Ultra Recon Squad are going through something bad that has befallen them.

Michael can also understand from Hapu’s game counterpart how important it was for people and Pokemon to help those in need. Hapu’s game counterpart said to Michael she’ll be cheering him on during his island challenge which Michael appreciated as she then departed and Michael was all set to try out the Mudsdale Gallop but not before deciding to turn his Exp. Share back on since he figured his whole team may need to train together again before facing the Ghost-Type trial. As Michael rode along with Mudsdale, he came across opponents to defeat in battle, Toucannon and Cha (Michael’s Hawlucha) defeated 2 punks’ Krokorok and Pancham resulting in Toucannon and Lycanroc gaining enough Exp. Points to level up (+ learning a new move each), Cha defeated a rising star’s Cranidos resulting in itself and Eevee gaining enough Exp. Points to level up (+ Eevee learning a new move), Incineroar defeated a wild Manectric resulting in gaining enough Exp. Points for it to level up, Incineroar defeated a scientist’s Porygon and Magneton, Raticate defeated a swimmer’s Starmie resulting in gaining enough Exp. Points for it to level up, and defeating a few more wild Pokemon led to a little more Exp. Points gained for some of Michael’s team to level up well. Michael noticed a beach nearby but decided to focus on training before visiting it. Noticing a trainer who informed him about a move known as Dragon Tail, Michael understood that he found another strong trainer to face only after other trainers in the area were defeated. Afterwards Michael and his Eevee defeated a surfer’s Remoraid and Sandygast then they defeated an Office Worker’s Electrike and Electabuzz which resulted in Eevee gaining enough Exp. Points to level up. After playing with a Magnemite then taking a photo of a Magneton, Michael battled some more wild Pokemon with Incineroar for training which resulted in his partner (along with Cha and Raticate) gaining enough Exp. Points to level up. After a Totem Sticker was collected (thanks to the Tauros Charge), Michael visited the Geothermal Power Plant where he saw Samson Oak’s game counterpart and as they chatted, he gave Michael a Lure Ball before he departed. Michael was a little fascinated to see photos of 2 other power plants from Kalos and Kanto as Michael still remembers the region where he’s originally from. Another Totem Sticker was collected and a Technical Machine for Embargo was collected from a researcher of the Geothermal Power Plant (after a small blackout problem). As Michael finished looking around the power plant then went back on Route 12, he read some “Trainer Tips” about using an Island Scan to find Pokemon that usually can’t be seen in Alola which was a little fascinating. Afterwards Toucannon and Lycanroc gained enough Exp. Points to level up thanks to Raticate defeating a rising star’s Tirtouga + Incineroar defeating a wild Manectric. Michael was all set to face the strongest trainer on Route 12 (who’s also a collector) as he and his Lycanroc managed to defeat their opponent’s Larvesta and Pinsir (with the Rock-Type Z-Move: Continental Crush used at the very end) which resulted in Incineroar and Eevee gaining enough Exp. Points to level up (+ Incineroar learning a new move). After a Technical Machine for Dragon Tail was obtained from his opponent, Michael headed back to the beach from earlier which was Ula’ula Beach then Samson Oak’s game counterpart had shown up again and had a little chat with Michael about Mantine Surfing as he said to Michael to continue enjoying his island challenge and Totem Sticker collecting but not before reminding Michael about seeing him at Heahea Beach if he’s still changes his mind about more Totem-sized Pokemon to be received which he understood. Arriving at Ula’ula Beach, a girl informs Michael about some hidden items around the beach for a Stoutland to seek out, then a swimmer informs Michael about the high rankings on the Mantine Surfing board. Afterwards Michael came across a bottle with a letter inside which explains about seeing someone at Malie City’s cape then challenging that person to a Pokemon Battle, Michael decided to accept doing the favor by the next time he’s back in Malie City. Afterwards a few berries were collected then Michael found some pearls and big pearls with the Stoutland Search. After arriving onto Route 13, Michael noticed Hau’s game counterpart arriving to inform him that he also managed to clear Sophocles’ game counterpart’s trial which Michael congratulated him on and he was impressed how Michael defeated Totem Togedemaru in that trial as he then kindly gave Michael a Max Potion.

Gladion’s game counterpart then appeared before the 2 trial-goers who informed them that Team Skull is looking for a Pokemon called Cosmog and asked if the 2 trial-goers knew anything about it which caught them both by surprise but the 2 trial-goers answered not that they’d tell him although Gladion’s game counterpart had a feeling that they do know something which he then explained while Cosmog is not a strong Pokemon but it has the potential to summon a Pokemon far more stronger which could bring a disaster to Alola which has Hau’s game counterpart wondering what they should do about it to which Gladion’s game counterpart answered that they must protect it. Even though Gladion’s game counterpart may be working under Team Skull which means the 2 trial-goers may not trust him or not, he asking the two to make care they protect Cosmog no matter what although he wondered how Team Skull found out about Cosmog in the first place as he then departed from the 2 trial-goers.

Both Hau’s game counterpart and Michael (and even Michael’s Rotom Dex) are now worried about Nebby and Lillie’s game counterpart from knowing that Team Skull might go after them which led to the 2 trial-goers promising that they must keep both Nebby and Lillie’s game counterpart safe as they’re both aiming to take on the next trial to train with their teams.

From what Hau’s game counterpart said to Michael, he’s happy to hear that his friend is still aiming to complete his island challenge despite what Guzma’s game counterpart said to him + Hau’s game counterpart also wishes to make sure he understands his partners’ feelings which Michael can understand that himself as he knows it can be related to a bond between trainer and Pokemon. As they both decided to meet up at Tapu Village, Hau’s game counterpart departed and Michael went looking around Route 13.

At a motel, Michael didn’t like hearing how a Stufful had been sitting in a room for a long time, while waiting for its trainer to return which made Michael feel sad as he then wished for that Stufful to hang in there when he visited it.

After a Totem Sticker was collected, Michael came across 2 fishing spots where he decided to do a little training while he’s at those spots. Some more pearls and big pearls were collected from Michael’s fishing and it was thanks to all of Cha’s battling at those fishing spots that Raticate gained enough Exp. Points to level up. Afterwards another Totem Sticker was collected and a Technical Machine for Taunt was collected from a rude punk boy in a trailer. Arriving at Tapu Village (in a rainy weather condition), Michael met up with Hau’s game counterpart who informed him about the trial captain being at the Aether House which is close by from where they’re currently at, Michael then thanked his friend for letting him know.

Hau’s game counterpart and Michael stand upon the path leading to Mount Lanakila, the location of the upcoming Pokemon League which Michael is very excited for when he completes his island challenge. Hau’s game counterpart then spoke about something he learned from Professor Kukui’s game counterpart which were Pokemon Leagues having 4 strong trainers called the Elite Four. Michael explained that he’s aware about the Elite Four from knowing about the Kanto Region’s Pokemon League as Hau’s game counterpart wonders which groups of 4 would be the strongest, the Elite Four or the Island Kahunas but he’ll look forward to finding out about that. The Ultra Recon Squad had apparently arrived as they kindly greeted the 2 trial-goers then began telling them a tale about both the Blinding One and their world’s past.

At the end of their tale, Michael may be starting to understand a little about what Soliera and Phyco are aiming to do for both their own world and for the Blinding One itself (known as Necrozma) to get restored to its true form after what it had gone through in its past.

From what Soliera and Phyco asked of the 2 trial-goers, Michael answered that he and Hau’s game counterpart shall see what they can do since they’re more aware of Z-Moves whose power is connected with the light wielded by the Blinding One. As the Ultra Recon Squad departed, Hau’s game counterpart is still a little confused of the past tale that was told to him and Michael but he understands that the Ultra Recon Squad has something to go through as it led to Rotom Dex wondering what their tale meant about their light being stolen, which made Michael’s Pokedex companion mentioning something similar happening before back at the Pokemon Research Lab, which Michael then remembered himself when the sky somehow went into darkness then it cleared up back then (in UM03) as it made him ponder if that had something to do with the Blinding One. As the 2 trial-goers departed from each other (before planning to meet up later at the Aether House), it was thanks to Lycanroc, Toucannon, and Incineroar that Michael managed to defeat a strong veteran’s Shelgon, Gabite, and Sliggoo, which resulted in Lycanroc and Toucannon gaining enough Exp. Points to level up. Arriving at Tapu Village’s Pokemon Center finally allowed Michael to recover his hard-working Pokemon Friends for all the effort they’ve done on the way to Tapu Village. After much selling was done at the PokeMart, Michael and his team relaxed at the Pokemon Center Cafe but Michael had the Ghost-Type trial on his mind as he hopes that it won’t be too scary for when he and his team are ready to face it.
