UM33's Documentation ("Plot")
After some time at the Pokemon Center Cafe (along with taking care of some purchasing and selling at the PokeMart), Michael reminisces about his recent time at the Festival Plaza where he interacted with many Festival Fans, collected many Festival Coins, increased his Festival Plaza rank, added a few new facilities at the plaza, and visited all the facilities which included his Kabuto enjoying both its playtime at the Stomp-Stomp House and a “Sp. Atk” meal at the Battle Table. The young trial-goer later plans to visit Poke Pelago later on as 2 of his Pokemon Friends (Eevee and Cha, Michael’s Hawlucha) shall remain in his PC Box for a while. After the young trial-goer meets back with Lillie’s game counterpart, they’ve stepped into Poni Wilds. As Lillie’s game counterpart informs Michael she’ll be okay from having her Max Repels and knowing what she needs to do, they agree to meet back a little later as Michael sets off to face opponents in battle. It’s one of those moments where Michael comes across a strong opponent (a dancer) who’ll only battle him if he defeats all trainers in the area first. Michael’s Raticate went through a lot to defeat an ace trainer’s Garbodor but her Toxapex was strong enough to even withstand Raticate’s Dark-Type Z-Move: Black Hole Eclipse which led to Raticate’s defeat but Aerodactyl took care of the finishing blow. After a small visit at Poni Beach, Michael and his Raticate defeated an ace trainer’s Tropius and Lilligant. Michael read Advanced Tips about Bottle Caps and Gold Battle Caps can be obtained at Festival Plaza for a chance to try out Hyper Training which reminded him of 2 Bottle Caps that he has on hand but he rather hold onto them for now, the young trial-goer also enjoyed a nice view of the ocean from where he was at. It was thanks to Toucannon and Lycanroc that Michael defeated a Couple’s Mienfoo.
After some berries were collected, Michael had Toucannon defeat a wild Crabrawler to collect more berries. Michael’s Lycanroc, Toucannon, and Incineroar managed to defeat an ace trainer’s Granbull, Sharpedo, and Ampharos which led to some of Michael’s team gaining enough Exp. Points to level up (especially Kabuto) + Toucannon learned Hyper Voice. After a few more berries were collected, Michael’s Lycanroc managed to defeat a cook’s Exeggcute and Ribombee. After a Totem Sticker was collected, Michael arrived at Ancient Poni Path where Lillie’s game counterpart also arrived. They recognized Hapu’s game counterpart’s Mudsdale and kindly greeted it then they had a chat about the amazement of Pokemon Trainers who strive forward no matter how much they need to work alongside their hard-working Pokemon Friends. Hapu’s game counterpart arrived from her house and greeted on seeing Michael again as she also saw Lillie’s game counterpart in her Z-Powered Form. When Lillie’s game counterpart asks where they can find the kahuna, she and Michael were a little shocked to hear from Hapu’s game counterpart that Poni Island doesn’t have a kahuna. Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael both asked each other what they should do but Hapu’s game counterpart responded by asking them to meet with her at the Ruins of Hope which they’ve both decided to do since they’re aware of knowing that they must continue to move forward. As Hapu’s game counterpart departs on her Mudsdale to the ruins, Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael had a small chat when someone came up to them who introduced herself as Hapu’s game counterpart’s grandmother, she was happy for her granddaughter traveling around and making new friends like Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael (who confirms it from his answering).
A Machamp then came by as Hapu’s game counterpart’s grandmother offers to give them some help by first asking if one of them has a Ride Pager which Michael answered he does, she registered Machamp to Michael’s Ride Pager which the young trial-goer then gave his thanks. Before she departed, Hapu’s game counterpart’s grandmother explained to Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael about passing through Poni Breaker Coast to make it to the Ruins of Hope as the 2 gave her their thanks. Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael had a chat about the Ruins of Hope which Lillie’s game counterpart explained it’s where Poni Island’s guardian deity lives, Tapu Fini, as the young trial-goer now knows all 4 of Alola’s island guardians.
As Lillie’s game counterpart moves on ahead to the ruins, Michael follows along the same path but first finds himself and his partner Incineroar defeating a collector’s Turtonator and Drampa then collecting another Totem Sticker. Entering into Poni Breaker Coast, Michael and his Raticate defeated a sightseer’s Kantoian Sandshrew and Kanotian Persian. After a little training at fishing spots (+ watching the sight of a geyser), Michael and his Toucannon defeated a swimmer’s Dragalape. Arriving at the Ruins of Hope, Michael met up with Lillie’s game counterpart who spoke about a possibly of Nebby returning back to normal if they brought it into the ruins as she and Michael had a small chat about Tapu Fini’s power which the young trial-goer finds progressing with Lillie’s game counterpart agreeing as well.
As Lillie’s game counterpart is determined to save Nebby just like how it saved her, she and Michael entered the ruins where large boulders are blocking their way and they’re way too heavy for Lillie’s game counterpart to push. Both Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael remembered the help they’ve received from Hapu’s game counterpart’s grandmother which is a way to move the boulders, the Machamp Shove, which Michael tried out for the first time as it aided him and Lillie’s game counterpart to reach Hapu’s game counterpart. From what Lillie’s game counterpart explained, Michael can understand that the tapu are not always at their ruins but can be summoned there at some point as he can never forget how he first met Tapu Koko. Both Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael were dismayed to see their visit to the ruins didn’t evoke anything to Nebby. The 2 of them then noticed Hapu’s game counterpart and watched her as what was occurring looked amazing. From what Hapu’s game counterpart explained, Michael finds it fascinating how some people were recognized and chosen by the Tapu to become kahunas to watch over the people and Pokemon of Alola. From what Hapu’s game counterpart heard from Lillie’s game counterpart, Michael replied that he’s new to Alola after moving from Kanto which she was impressed with since the young trial-goer became impressed himself with hearing how Hapu’s game counterpart knows about how he received a sparkling stone by Tapu Koko after recently arriving in Alola.
From what Hapu’s game counterpart then explained, Michael felt a little sorry for what Hapu’s game counterpart had been trying to achieve in following her deceased grandfather’s footsteps to become kahuna but wasn’t chosen by the Tapu since then, it led to her setting off on her own island challenge to try growing stronger which Michael can understand since he can believe that she got to experience much and even meet some new friends like himself and Lillie’s game counterpart. Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael were both amazed to be informed that Poni Island’s kahuna whom they needed to see is now with them, Hapu’s game counterpart, who had officially earned the title (which is what Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael had been watching). As both Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael congratulated Hapu’s game counterpart on her new kahuna title, Lillie’s game counterpart was ready to ask her about the Legendary Pokemon. After Lillie’s game counterpart and Michael both explained what had occurred with them and why they needed help from the Legendary Pokemon, the game counterpart of Kahuna Hapu kindly explained a kind of ceremony that was held at the Altar of the Moone where 2 flutes were played in giving power to the Legendary Pokemon which led to Michael remembering what Gladion’s game counterpart had informed them with Lillie’s game counterpart remembering as well, so she showed the Sun Flute to Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart which she believes that it was discovered at the Lake of the Sunne on Ula’ula Island where Michael remembered visiting once (during UM29). Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart reveals that the other flute is located on Exeggutor Island where Lillie’s game counterpart remembers reading about it in a book which she describes as an uninhabited island off-coast from Poni Island. Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart explains that they must head back to Seafolk Village to see Mina’s game counterpart who may be able to help them reach Exeggutor Island so Lillie’s and Kahuna Hapu’s game counterparts departs on Mudsdale while Michael shall go there himself and promises to meet back with them. After lots of training from fishing spots, battling in the wild grass, and facing a few Pokemon in a small body of water at Poni Breaker Coast (via Sharpedo Jet), Michael visited the home of Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart where a Totem Sticker was collected and her grandmother was also there who wanted to thank Michael for finding her old photo at Malie Library which was revealed to be her when she was younger and her Mudsdale. After they’ve had a nice chat (+ a flashback occurred from that grandmother’s past), she kindly gave Michael a Heart Scale as her thanks as she’s very happy for her granddaughter especially on becoming Poni Island’s newest kahuna. After many Totem Stickers were collected, Michael came back to the strong dancer in Poni Wilds who accepted battling him after defeating all the other trainers in the area. Michael’s Incineroar, Lycanroc, Toucannon and Aerodactyl emerged victorious against all of the dancer’s Oricorio, which gave the young trial-goer a Focus Sash. After a long while of pondering, Michael admits to himself that he may not have been focusing on his team leveling up so well but he is happy with how strong they’ve become. Knowing that his Kabuto is still far from being as strong as the rest of his team, Michael turned off his Exp. Share to take care of some training with only Kabuto which helped it gain enough Exp. Points to level up a few times. Arriving back at Seafolk Village, Michael happily watches as the game counterparts of Lillie and Kahuna Hapu have seen each other as friends, Lillie’s game counterpart gives her thanks while Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart shall be wishing for her safety. After giving his gratitude to Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart as she then departs with her Mudsdale, the young trial-goer informs Lillie’s game counterpart that his Pokemon Friends need to rest up after being wiped out from recent battling and training, which she understand as they promise to meet back to see the game counterpart of Mina. After recovering his team at Seafolk Village’s Pokemon Center + taking care of some selling and purchasing at the PokeMart, the young trial-goer took another quick visit at Festival Plaza where he continued increasing Festival Plaza’s ranking and allowed his Kabuto to enjoy another Stomp-Stomp House, which has been recently added until it was replaced by a similar facility of it called Clink-Clunk House where his Kabuto also enjoyed. Afterwards Michael was all set to finally visit Poke Pelago as he had the Charizard Glide bring him there, where he meets the unknown gentleman (that he met during UM16) who introduces himself as Mohn (his game counterpart), which somehow caught Michael attention a little as he seems to have heard of that name before. After many details were explained, Michael happily allowed 2 of his Pokemon Friends to enjoy some of the peacefulness on Poke Pelago’s Isle Abeens. Afterwards the young trial-goer collected some Poke Beans, which led to him finding a few Patterned Poke Beans and 1 Rainbow Poke Bean, a Bean Bottle filled with Poke Beans was sent out into the ocean, and a few Patterned Poke Beans were traded in for plain ones. Arriving back at Seafolk Village’s Pokemon Center, Michael switched Cha and Eevee back onto his team while Toucannon and Lycanroc were sent in his PC Box to enjoy some lecture time at Poke Pelago.
After some Pokemon Refresh activities with some of his Pokemon Friends, Michael was reminded by his Rotom Dex about making sure the other flute on Exeggutor Island can be recovered as it is needed for what he and Lillie’s game counterpart must do to meet the Legendary Pokemon, Lunala.
