Michael’s “Poke Problem”: Which is the Totem Pokemon that Michael faces in his final trial? Choices: Blissey, Mawile, Granbull, Ribombee (Answer Revealed Below) (Exp. Share: On)

UM39's Documentation ("Plot")

After training was finished, Michael arrived back at Mina’s game counterpart’s house to inform her that he’s finally all set for her trial as the Trial of Mina began.

Mina’s game counterpart informs Michael of the first task he must do, facing her in battle, which the young trial-goer accepts.

At the end of the battle, Michael emerged victorious and with the Exp. Share turned on, the whole team gained Exp. Points together again. Lycanroc defeating Mina’s game counterpart’s Mawile resulted in Bewear earning enough Exp. Points to level up, Poipole using the Poison-Type Z-Move: Acid Downpour to defeat Mina’s game counterpart’s Granbull resulted in that Ultra Beast friend earning enough Exp. Points to level up and learn a Bug-Type Move which shall be good news for Michael’s Buginium Z, Aerodactyl defeating Mina’s game counterpart’s Ribombee resulted in Lycanroc earning enough Exp. Points to level up + Michael was proud of getting to use a Z-Move with his Poipole for the first time in battle. As Mina’s game counterpart gave Michael a Pink Petal as part of the trial, she informs him to go see all the captains to earn a petal of each one of them (with the next captain to see being Illma’s game counterpart), which left the young trial-goer fascinated to expect what might occur during the Trial of Mina. Before proceeding with the trial, Michael had to recover Lycanroc and Aerodactyl at Seafolk Village’s Pokemon Center to send them into his PC Box in exchange for Eevee and Raticate getting back onto his team for their participation in the rest of the trial since Lycanroc and Aerodactyl had already done well for it. Even though Michael has more than 1 option of heading for Melemele Island, he went with Mantine Surfing since he likes to continue trying out the surfing moves he learned. After arriving on Melemele Island, Michael arrives at Hau’oli Cemetery to find Illma’s game counterpart when he spotted Decidueye and Hau’s game counterpart just finished winning a battle against Illma’s game counterpart (most likely for the same trial Michael is currently taking). Hau’s game counterpart heard from Gladion’s game counterpart about Michael saving Alola which left Michael a little proud of doing his best to help out back then. Michael feels happy about Hau’s game counterpart commenting how he was glad to set off on his island challenge with an awesome trainer, but from what Hau’s game counterpart also commented on, Michael can understand from him about Pokemon fighting their hardest for their trainers which they care about. Hau’s game counterpart looks at his partner Decidueye knowing that it wants to win and its trainer is determined to make sure it happens while Michael likes seeing the determination of a true trainer and his partner. After Hau’s game counterpart kindly gave Michael a Max Elixir, he informs Michael after they’ve finished their island challenges, they should have a serious battle as he likes for them to have a blast in bringing out their full potential with their hard-working teammates, which Michael gladly understands. As the 2 trial-goers depart from each other, Michael finds Illma’s game counterpart as they kindly greet each other. Illma’s game counterpart was impressed to see Michael having a great amount of Z-Crystals from his island challenge and complimented on the young trial-goer positively shining which he believes is important as he told Michael about his past of traveling the world with his mother who was dedicated to her path as an actress. As Michael understands about complete dedication, he believes Illma’s game counterpart has been doing great as a captain to help trainers grow and shine on their island challenges (with the brilliance of Z-Crystals and the gleam of Totem Stickers). Knowing Michael came to him for Mina’s game counterpart’s trial, Illma’s game counterpart asks Michael if he could show how strong he became by facing the Normal-Type Specialist himself (his game counterpart) in battle which the young trial-goer accepts. It was thanks to Eevee, Raticate, and Bewear that Michael emerged victorious against Illma’s game counterpart’s Gumshoos, Komala, and Smeargle. Michael was proud of getting to use a Z-Move with his Bewear for the first time + Bewear earned enough Exp. Points to level up. As Illma’s game counterpart gave Michael an Orange Petal as part of the trial, he commented on how strong Hau’s game counterpart was after knowing he’s been doing nothing but training at Mahalo Trail which Michael can feel his friend’s determination since it’s also similar to himself doing nothing but training for the trial that he’s currently taking. The young trial-goer accepted to travel with Illma’s game counterpart to Lush Jungle (on Akala Island) to see the next captain, Mallow’s game counterpart. Arriving at his destination and departing from Illma’s game counterpart, Michael entered Lush Jungle when he noticed Mallow’s game counterpart looking around before she walked off. Although Michael did hear Mallow’s game counterpart’s voice from up a path, he took a quick detour towards another path which led to finding some items and having Raticate defeat a wild Golbat in a cave. Proceeding up the right path, Michael noticed the game counterparts of Mallow and Lana along with some wild Pokemon. From what Michael had observed, it looked like Mallow’s game counterpart was enjoying the relaxation and aromatherapy around her with her wild Pokemon friends of Lush Jungle although Lana’s game counterpart feels that her friend might end up getting a little too relaxed to become unnoticed of an unexpected visitor and at that moment, Michael approached them which shocked Mallow’s game counterpart and her wild Pokemon friends who then curried off. As Michael greeted both captains, Mallow’s game counterpart proclaims that she was getting close to her Pokemon Friends to see what kind of dish they like her to make for them, although Lana’s game counterpart was correct about her friend getting a little too relaxed to notice an unexpected visitor, she requested Michael to battle her to ensure what he saw remain a secret despite the young trial-goer being a little confused about it but he still accepts since he’s focusing on Mina’s game counterpart’s trial. Lana’s game counterpart reveals that she was just playing along for Michael to take her bait since she doesn’t mind if Michael said something about what he saw as long as she gets to battle him which leaves the young trial-goer a little confused yet again as they proceed with their battle. It was thanks to Eevee, Kabutops, and Incineroar that Michael emerged victorious against Lana’s game counterpart’s Lanturn, Cloyster, and Araquanid. Michael was proud of getting to use a Z-Move with his Kabutops for the first time + the Shellfish Pokemon itself, Poipole, and Incineroar earned enough Exp. Points to level up with Incineroar also learning a Dragon-Type move which shall be good news for Michael’s Dragonium Z. As Mallow’s and Lana’s game counterparts gave Michael a Green Petal and a Blue Petal as part of the trial, the young trial-goer accepted to travel with them to Wela Volcano Park to see the next captain, Kiawe’s game counterpart. Arriving at his destination and departing from Mallow’s and Lana’s game counterparts, Michael came across the Hiker (from UM15 during a certain trial) who remembered the young trial-goer as Kiawe’s game counterpart arrived and thanked the Hiker for filling in for him while he was away. From what Michael has been observing, he might understand the hiker’s reasoning of not being a good candidate for the next captain since his passion is mostly busting up dance moves (which Michael can remember during UM15). As Kiawe’s game counterpart turns to Michael, the young trial-goer accepts the request of battling Kiawe’s game counterpart for Mina’s game counterpart’s trial. It was thanks to Incineroar, Kabutops, and Bewear that Michael emerged victorious against Kiawe’s game counterpart’s Arcanine, Alolan Marowak, and Talonflame. Michael was proud of seeing Incineroar using the Fire-Type Starter Pokemon’s Ultimate Move: Blast Burn, for the first time + Bewear and Raticate earned enough Exp. Points to level up. Not long after that battle, the Hiker ended up challenging Michael to a battle which led to his Magmar losing against Michael’s Eevee. As Kiawe’s game counterpart gave Michael a Red Petal as part of the trial, the young trial-goer accepted to travel with him to the Hokulani Observatory (on Ula’ula Island) to see the next captain, Sophocles’ game counterpart. Arriving at his destination and departing from Kiawe’s game counterpart, Michael entered the observatory where he ended up playing a Charjabug puzzle game with its challenge getting a little more hard after winning it but the young trial-goer still managed to clear that game and earned a PP Max out of it. Just when Michael found the game counterparts of Molayne and Sophocles, he observed Molayne’s game counterpart had to depart somewhere and left the observatory under his cousin’s care but despite said cousin was saddened to see him go, he understood Molayne’s game counterpart’s words. While Michael tried to console Sophocles’ game counterpart, he confirmed that he’ll be okay and his cousin won’t be gone too long since there was something he had to do for Professor Kukui’s game counterpart. Knowing Michael came for Mina’s game counterpart’s trial, Sophocles’ game counterpart gave him a Yellow Pedal for said trial which apparently was a little surprising for the young trial-goer since the other pedals were received from after battling. Michael accepts traveling with Sophocles’ game counterpart to the Aether House to see the next captain, Acerola’s game counterpart. Arriving at his destination and departing from Sophocles’ game counterpart, Michael came across Guzma’s game counterpart who apparently thanked the young trial-goer for that situation with Necrozma which he didn’t mind feeling proud about from him. When Michael noticed Hau’s game counterpart coming out the Aether House, he observed his friend's chat with Guzma’s game counterpart to learn how Guzma’s game counterpart raised his partner Golisopod and the rest of his teammates to be as strong as they can be during his own island challenge. Hau’s game counterpart believes that Guzma’s game counterpart has been doing well with his friends which made Michael question that a little with Hau’s game counterpart replying about those of Team Skull who all love Guzma’s game counterpart which made a little sense to Michael (since Guzma’s game counterpart is the Team Skull boss). Afterwards Michael received a Grip Claw from Guzma’s game counterpart who then felt the winds of Alola which felt like a new change might happen as he departed but not after Hau’s game counterpart spoke out to him about he not failing to become a captain and he can continue to get better just like himself continuing to get strong to outdo even the kahunas. With Michael impressed by his friend’s words, Hau’s game counterpart informed him again about the 2 of them having a serious battle after finishing their island challenges which Michael agreed with as they shall look forward to it. After Hau’s game counterpart departed, Michael entered the Aether House where he saw the 2 children showing their Dark-Type Z-Move poses to Kahuna Nanu’s game counterpart who was a little impressed by their poses. As Kahuna Nanu’s game counterpart noticed Michael, he asked about Acerola’s game counterpart which her uncle replied that she’s away at the moment but asks if he will do in her place for Mina’s game counterpart’s trial which left Michael a little fascinated of facing an island kahuna (he battled once before in a grand trial) during a trial. As the young trial-goer accepted the request, an island kahuna and a trial-goer faced each other in battle once again. It was thanks to Eevee, Raticate, and Incineroar that Michael emerged victorious against Kahuna Nanu’s game counterpart’s Sableye, Alolan Persian, and Absol. Michael didn’t mind using the same 3 Pokemon that helped him win his 3rd grand trial. After Kahuna Nanu’s game counterpart gave Michael a Purple Petal as part of the trial, he informs Michael that he must now head back to see Mina’s game counterpart on Poni Island now he has obtained all the petals. Departing from the Aether House and arriving at Ula’ula Beach, Michael took a tiny detour in having Bewear defeat 2 wild Crabrawler to collect a few berries, which resulted in Poipole and Bewear earning enough Exp. Points to level up. After arriving back to Poni Island via Mantine Surfing, Michael was very impressed to learn that he managed to pull off a new record in its Hyper Course, resulting in becoming a new champ in the Ula’ula Beach Surf Spot and learning about the aerial move Starmie 720 to try out in Mantine Surfing. Arriving back at Mina’s game counterpart’s house, Michael replied that everyone was doing good when Mina’s game counterpart asked about them. She’s happy from knowing that the captains who watch over trial-goers get to see them show their progress along with their Pokemon Friends, which Michael can definitely understand. As Michael handed all 7 petals to Mina’s game counterpart, she crafted them into a beautiful Rainbow Flower, which Michael actually likes. Just when Mina’s game counterpart questioned where the Totem Pokemon was, Michael realized after everything that occurred during the trial, he didn’t face a Totem Pokemon yet which usually happens during a trial. Mina’s game counterpart replies not only Michael is gonna face a Totem Pokemon, he’ll be facing the final Totem Pokemon in his final trial (which is currently right now). That left Michael very amazed as Mina’s game counterpart hopes he’s ready to face his toughest totem yet, which left the young trial-goer hoping that he is and at that moment, the front door opened and the Totem Pokemon itself appeared in front of Michael, Totem Ribombee. Michael chose Incineroar to face Totem Ribombee who powered up from its Quiver Dance and weakened damage from a super effective Fire-Type move with an Occa Berry as it then called an ally to its side, a Blissey. After Michael’s Incineroar survived a powerful Bug-Type move from Totem Ribombee (with some added help from Blissey’s Helping Hand), it managed to defeat the Totem Pokemon with its Blast Burn but because it had to recharge, Incineroar got defeated Blissey’s Dazzling Gleam as it was then thanked by its trainer for its hard work and Poipole took care of defeating Blissey, which resulted in Michael clearing his final trial + it also resulted in Eevee, Kabutops, and Poipole earning enough Exp. Points to level up. As the final trial was cleared, Michael earned a Fairy-Type Z-Crystal, Fairium Z, from Mina’s game counterpart who then showed him the Fairy-Type Z-Move pose, which the young trial-goer gave his thanks as well as for the Fairium Z too. Mina’s game counterpart informs Michael that he’s finished all his trials so the only thing left for him is the Poni Island Grand Trial which not only shall be Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart first-ever grand trial, it shall also be Michael’s final grand trial. As Michael began to depart from Mina’s game counterpart’s house, the game counterparts of Kahunas Hapu and Hala arrived. Knowing Michael managed to clear his final trial, Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart informs him to meet her at Exeggutor Island for their Poni Island grand trial, which the young trial-goer understands as he’ll make sure to train to be ready for it as Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart departed. Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart commented to Michael on how close he’s getting to wrap up with his island challenge as he’s delighted to know how much trainers have grown from their island challenges, especially his own grandson whom he’s lost to in battle despite not holding anything back as Kahuna Hala’s game counterpart departed. At Seafolk Village’s Pokemon Center, Michael recovered his hard-working Pokemon Friends, relaxed at the Pokemon Center Cafe, and spoke with his Rotom Dex on how he shall look forward to his Poni Island Grand Trial (once training is finished).

Answer: Ribombee

“Off-Screen” Necessary Saving Activities: Other than collecting PokeBeans at Poke Pelago, Michael Lettman shall allow Alolan Michael to take care of training with many of his Pokemon Friends so they can be leveled up enough for the events of UM40.
