With Pikachu’s training completed and caring for his Pokemon friends in Pokemon Refresh activities, Michael set off and arrived on Exeggutor Island where he’ll face the game counterpart of Kahuna Hapu in his 4th and final grand trial. Walking across the island, Michael’s Rotom Dex notice its companion doesn’t look too happy for his grand trial but the young trial-goer replied that he is, it’s just that he’s aware that he has almost reached the end of his island challenge so he wishes to enjoy his final grand trial while as much as he could, which his Rotom Dex can understand. As Michael met up with Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart, she asks if he’s ready to take on her and her Pokemon at their full strength, which Michael replies only if she’ll take on his own team. Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart spoke of preparing to show the young trial-goer the power of the kahuna chosen by Tapu Fini itself. As it shall be the first grand trial of Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart, she’ll ensure to battle Michael with everything that she got, which the young trial-goer replies that he’ll be doing the same since it is also the final grand trial of his island challenge as the Poni Island Grand Trial began. At the end, Michael emerged victorious against Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart’s Golurk, Gastrodon, Mudsdale, and Flygon, thanks to the hard work of battling with Aerodactyl, Kabutops, Pikachu, and Incineroar + both Aerodactyl and Incineroar earned enough Exp. Points to level up (along with Aerodactyl learning a Steel-Type move). Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart congratulates Michael for succeeding in his final grand trial then she presents a Ground-Type Z-Crystal, Groundium Z, to him which he gladly accepts as the young trial-goer declares to have cleared the final grand trial of his island challenge. After Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart showed Michael the Ground-Type Z-Move pose (which he kindly thanked her for), she kindly commented on how Michael can be a prodigious trainer. Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart then explained how after trial-goers completed their island challenges, they face the island kahunas once more upon Mount Lanakila but she explained to the young trial-goer that he’ll be facing a different sort of final trial upon Mount Lanakila, which he then had a feeling of knowing what Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart is talking about. After arriving back to Poni Island, Kahuna Hapu’s game counterpart informed Michael that the final trial awaits for him on Mount Lanakila and that he may start his trek at Tapu Village on Ula’ula Island, which the young trial-goer understood then gave his thanks to her for a great battle that he had enjoyed in his island challenge as they both departed from each other. After recovering his Pokemon Friends at Seafolk Village’s Pokemon Center, Michael’s Rotom Dex asked its companion if they’re headed to Ula’ula Island right away, which the young trial-goer replies they’re not headed there yet as he already decided to make a detour to Akala Island for something he wishes to do there. Arriving to Akala Island by ferry, Michael arrived once again to Royal Avenue and stopped by at its Pokemon Center where he enjoyed a good cup of Tapu Cocoa at the cafe then afterwards, the young trial-goer spoke to his Pokemon Friends to thank them for all their hard work in the final grand trial. Michael’s happy for Aerodactyl learning a Steel-Type move for his Steelium Z, Michael’s happy for Kabutops being the Pokemon friend with a Ground-Type move for his Groundium Z, Michael’s happy for Pikachu battling so well in the final grand trial after all its training (and Pokemon Refreshing), and Michael’s happy for his partner Incineroar using the Dragon-Type Z-Move: Devastating Drake, for the first time. Knowing the end of his island challenge draws near, Michael knows that he shall continue enjoying it while it still lasts but before he can do that, he shall focus on battling in the Battle Royal’s Master Rank.
